Gladys was born April 14, 1900 in Salt Springs, New Brunswick. She was a daughter of Charles Haddon Spurgeon Allaby and Christine Henderson (Budge) Allaby.[1][2][3]
Her father passed away in 1904, leaving her mother to raise Gladys and her several siblings. They were living in Kings County in 1911.
She married Ivan Reid, a 22-year old native of Clintondale, New York on July 23, 1919 in Kings County. Ivan was residingat the time in Salt Springs and was a farmer. He was a son of William and Margaret Reid.[2]
They lived in Kings County and had a family of several.
Gladys passed away on July 9, 1947 in Nortonof chronic bronchitis and was interred at the Riverbank Community Cemetery in Kings County.[4][3]
