Laila Ali is widely regarded as one of the greatest female boxers of all time. Active from 1999 to 2007, she was undefeated in 24 bouts and held the WBC, WIBA, IWBF and IBA female super middleweight titles, and the IWBF light heavyweight title. She has appeared on numerous television shows, including Dancing with the Stars and The Celebrity Apprentice, and has authored books on health, wellness, and cooking.[1]
Laila Amaria Ali was born on December 30, 1977, in Miami Beach, Miami-Dade, Florida. She is the daughter of the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali and his third wife, Veronica. Her parents divorced when she was nine years old.
She was raised as a Muslim, but no longer practices Islam.
Laila attended Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California, and graduated with a degree in business.
In 1999, Laila began a career as a professional boxer. Throughout her boxing career, which lasted until 2007, she remained undefeated, with 24 wins, including 21 knockouts. She held multiple world titles in the super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions, solidifying her place as one of the most successful female boxers of all time.
Laila married her first husband on August 27, 2000. The couple divorced in 2005. On July 23, 2007, Laila married retired NFL player Curtis Conway in Los Angeles, California. The couple have two children, a son born in 2008 and a daughter born in 2011.
