William was born in 1829. He was the son of Thomas Alford and his first wife Patsy Truss. Patsy was the daughter of Samuel Truss and Syvlia Cobb. Patsy died 15 Dec 1846. Samual Died 1899. Their issue was the following:^[1]

In 1858, William Thomas Alford married Mary Catherine Jourdan in Bastrop County, Texas.^[2] The couple had several children.^[3]

William passed away in 1873. Whereas, his burial is unknown, he is memorialized in the Jourdan-Giles Cemetery, Austin, Travis, Texas.^[4]
