Biography
When Silas Alexander was born on September 10, 1777, in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, his father, Lieutenant, was 32 and his mother, Mary, was 31. He married Sarah Reese and they had six sons and seven daughters together. He then married Mary Ross Kennedy on October 16, 1823, in Maury, Tennessee. He died in 1829 in Fayette, Tennessee, at the age of 51.
