Eliza Ann Alexander was born on 28 Dec 1809 in Sumter, Sumter, South Carolina, United States,, daughter of John DeWitt Alexander (1776–1846) and Mary Polly Woodham (about 1777–about 1856).

Eliza (16) and William Tiller (35) were married in 1826 in Henry, Alabama. William was born in 1790 in Sumter. He was the son of William Tiller and Charity (Kirkland) Tiller.

In 1840, Eliza (age 30) was living in Henry, Alabama, United States. [1]

In 1850, Eliza (age 40) was living in District 15, Monroe, Tennessee. [2]

Eliza (43) and Gordon Riley (53) were married in 1853 in Sumter.[3] Gordon was born in 1799 in Darlington, Darlington, South Carolina.

In 1860, Eliza (age 50) was living in District 1, Blount, Tennessee, United States. [4]

In 1870, Eliza (age 60) was living in Goodbye, Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States. [5]

Eliza died in 1870 in Washington, Florida, United States, aged 60.
