Biography

Birth and Baptism

Daniel ALEXANDER was born before 1844. He was baptised in the Heckingham House of Industry, Norfolk, England on the 9 March 1844. His parents were Mary Ann and Daniel ALEXANDER. The abode was 'House from Loddon'. The trade as shoemaker. ^[1]

Marriage

On the 24 December 1864, after banns, Daniel married Mary Ann CARTER in Great Yarmouth. She was 19 and her father, James CARTER, was a shoemaker. Daniel was 19 and was a fisherman. His father, also Daniel ALEXANDER, was a bricklayer (spelt 'bricklair' in the parish register). The couple were single and lived in Row 132. The witnesses were James LARGE and Elija BALLS. Daniel, Mary Ann and Elijah signed with their marks. ^[2]

Daniel passed away before 1909.
