Private David Livingstone Haddon Alcorn enlisted into the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) on the 13 February 1918. His Next of Kin was listed as his father, W Alcorn of Boonah, Queensland. Initial listed as being part of the 5th Queensland Reinforcements. This unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A30 Borda on the 17th of July 1918.He would go on to serve with the 2nd Field Bakery before returning to Australia on the 22 November 1919, and finally being discharge on the 22nd of February 1920.
David married Charlotte Margaret CAWLEY, daughter of Alfred John CAWLEY and Catherine CLARE, on 7 June 1924 in Queensland, Australia. [2]
Charlotte was born on 25 November 1890 in Walcha, Colony of New South Wales and died on 11 March 1977 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia at age 86.
David Alcorn died on 8 January 1934 in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia [3] at age 33, and was buried on 9 January 1934 in General Cemetery, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. [4]
