Biography

Hubert was born in 1853 to Laurent Albert and Anastasie Martin. His mother died when he was 11. He married at age 20 to Aurelie Gagnon and they named two sons Joseph Laurant, one in 1883 and one in 1885. Hubert passed away in 1891 at 37 years old, within 5 months after his wife's death. He worked as a carpenter and his death record states he was accidently struck in the jaw by a plank. He left several children orphaned. The youngest, born in February 1891, died in October from cholera, shortly after her father.
