Biography
Anne Stodart Aitchison was baptised 12 Apr 1841 in Canongate, Edinburgh. She is the daughter of John Aitchison and Jane Stodart.[1]
In 1841, Jane Aitchison (35) was living on St John St, Canongate, Edinburgh with her husband John Aitchison (35, Brewer), and their children William Aitchison (14), Jane Aitchison (6), Thomas Aitchison (5) and Ann Aitchison (4 mo) and servants Janet Kitchen, Barbara Stenhouse, Isabella Sanderson and Helen Jackson.[2]
In 1851, Jane (46) was living on St John St, Canongate, Edinburgh with her husband John Aitchison (46, Brewer), and their children William John Aitchison (23), Christina Aitchison (22), Jane Aitchison (16) and Ann Aitchison (10) and servants Margaret Duncan and Isabella Weatherston.[3]
In 1861, Jane Aitcheson (58) was living in Edinburgh with Annie S Aitcheson (20), Mary S Wilmot (34), Margaret Mann (35) and Janet Blythe (21).[4]
In 1871, Jane Aitchison (68) was living in Edinburgh with Anne A Aitchison (30), Alison Hogg (38) and Helen Fyfe (26).[5]
In 1881, Jane Aitchison (78) was living in Edinburgh with Anne Aitchison (40), Christina Yeoman (26) and Elizabeth Renton (23).[6]
