Pierre St Julian Aimar was born on June 20, 1861 in Charleston, South Carolina, United States, son of Thomas Francis Aimar (1816– ) and Mary Baker (1820–1886).

Pierre (39) married Sara Frances Tippins (19) (born in December, 1881 in Tattnall, Georgia; daughter of Lucius Asbury Hill Tippins and Ella E M (Lanier) Tippins) on December 16, 1900 in Savannah, Chatham. Their son was Pierre St Julian Mellville Aimar (1902–1934).

Pierre died on November 19, 1904 in Savannah, Chatham, Georgia, United States, aged 43.
