Biography
This profile is part of the Adlam Name Study.
John was born about 1847 in Canada. He moved to Michigan City, Indiana, where some of his siblings and mother had moved to, presumably to find work with the railroad. He passed away there in 1878 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery near his mother and siblings. His only child William was then raised by his wife's parents, Thomas and Martha Gainforth.
