Biography

Edwina Virginia Adkinson was born on 07 January 1922 in Florida, United States. She was the daughter of Jesse Leonidas Adkinson (1880-1927) and Sophia Jeanette (Lang) Delmar (1894-1964).^[1]

Her father, Jesse Leonidas Adkinson, died in 1927.^[2] Her mother remarried. Her second husband was John Henry Delmar.^[3] Edwina and her siblings were enumerated as step-children in his household on the 1930 United States Census. The house in which they lived was located at 404 East Lee Street.^[4]

She was also enumerated in her step-father's household on the 1935 Florida State Census and the 1940 United States Censuses. They continued to live in Pensacola.^[5][6]

Edwina Virginia Adkinson and Alvin Ernest John Pfeiffer were married on 30 January 1943 at the home of Reverend Wallace R. Rogers in Escambia County, Florida.^[7][8] They were the parents of at least 1 child who may still be living.^[9]

Edwina and Alvin Pfeiffer were enumerated together onthe 1950 United States Census. They were living at 1129 East Garden Street, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. Edwina was working as a stenographer for an auto dealer.^[10]

Edwina Virginia Adkinson passed away on 13 December 1995 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. She was 73 years old.^[11][12] According to her obituary, Edwina was buried in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida.^[9] A search for a Find a Grave® memorial was unsuccessful.
