Sarah Ady was born about 1752, probably in Painswick Gloucestershire.
One source claims her parents were Thomas Adey (born 1726 and christened in Westbury, Gloucester) and Hester (b. 1725), who were married on 20 Dec 1742 in Woodchester, Gloucester, England.[1] It is equally possible that Thomas and Hester were actually brother and sister, as there is a record for a Hester Ady born in 1724.
