Biography

Rebecca was born Nov 1881.

She married Newman Strong on December 17, 1901 at Lee Bight, (Now Adeytown), Newfoundland.^[1] Together they had 8 children:

1. Wilfred Strong
2. Thomas Strong
3. William Strong
4. Ronald Strong
5. William Strong
6. Joseph Strong
7. Amy Strong
8. Alexander Strong

The 1921 Census recorded Newman and Rebecca living at Clarenville, Newfoundland with their children, Joseph Strong, Ronald Strong, William Strong, Thomas Strong, Wilfred Strong and Alexander Strong. Also living with them was Rebecca's sister Lillian Adey and a boarder, William Adey.^[2]

In 1935 Newman and Rebecca were living at Clarenville, Newfoundland with four children, William Strong, Thomas Strong, Wilfred Strong and Alexander Strong.^[3]

She passed away in 1965 and is buried in the United Church Cemetery at Clarenville, Newfoundland.^[4]
