Biography

Fortunata Addamo is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giuseppe Addamo and Giuseppa Maria Lanza, who married in 1760.

Fortunata marries Gaetano Vitale, of unknown parents, on 7 January 1782. Her father has died by this time.^[1] "Vitale" is the surname of Giuseppa Maria's mother's first husband.

Gaetano and Fortunata have at least one child, Giuseppe (c. 1782).

Giuseppe is named after his maternal grandfather, making it likely he is their first born son. I estimate he is born around 1782, within a couple years of their marriage.

Giuseppe marries Giuseppa Labruzzo on 5 July 1807.^[2]
