Biography

Samuel Adcroft was a convict after the Third Fleet transported to New South Wales

Samuel E Adcroft was born at Ormiskirk, Leigh, Lancashire, England in 1816, and baptised 1 Dec 1816 at Townsend, Warrington, Lancashire.[1][2] He was the son of Richard ADCROFT and Elizabeth 'Betty' THOMASEN.

description - height 5 feet 6 inches, complexion; dark sallow and freckled, color of hair Brown, eyes Dark grey, particular marks or scars remarks- slight cast outward in right eye, diagonal scar over inner corner of right eyebrow, tattoo R.A. star. E.A. back of right wrist, large wart back of middle and little fingers of right hand, scar back of left wrist, scar knuckle of fore-finger of left hand;

He was transported to New South Wales aboard convict transport 'Lloyds' Edward Garrett Master David Watson Surgeon Superintenent, arrived from England 17 July 1837 Colony of New South Wales.

Conditional Pardon- granted 1843/2209 Colony of NSW;

Marriage- 18 Jan 1845 Sydney Colony of NSW to Mary BAIN (1819–1894).
