Barbara Adams Gregory passed away peacefully April 24, 2003.

She was born June 28, 1921 to Spencer Dewey and Bertha Boylin Adams of Layton, Utah. She attended Layton schools, being interrupted on occasion as she accompanied her father and mother during his career as Utah's first professional baseball player.

She attended Davis High School where she served as student body vice president during her senior year. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1943 with a degree in home economics. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, serving as chapter president during her senior year. Barbara was a devoted and active member of the LDS church serving in various capacities, including three terms as Relief Society president as well as other callings. She also served a term as president of the Farmington chapter of the PTA.

Barbara loved the garden, sewing, but most of all her family, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother, Harman, and a son, Michael Dan. She is survived by her husband, LeGrande (Dan) Gregory, children; Larry (Meledie) Gregory, Douglas (Danna) Gregory, Barbara Jean (Kent) Dibble, Roger (Terri) Gregory and Matthew Gregory and brother, Spencer D. (Clytie) Adams, Jr. She has 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her deeply.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Manor Care and Utah Heritage Hospice for their kindness and compassion in the care of our dear wife and mother during the daunting progression of Alzheimer's disease.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003 at the Farmington Fifth Ward Chapel, 347 South 200 West, Farmington, Utah, with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

A viewing will be held at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, Kaysville, Utah; Sunday, April 27, 2003, between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Interment, Farmington Cemetery.
