Biography
Private Jimmie Adams served in the United States Civil War. Side: CSA Regiment(s): Co. B, 15th Regiment, Arkansas Infantry (Johnson's)
Died of illness ten days before boarding a steamboat for Vicksburg to be exchanged during the Civil War. The only other record of his death is a listing on a log of prisoners to be exchanged at the Alton Military Prison. His name had been "cancelled."[1]
Later that year his wife, Louisa K (Roberson) Adams filed a claim with the Confederate Government for his death. There is no record of payment of this claim.
James' and Louisa's daughter, Jimmie J., was born in Ouachita County, Arkansas, three weeks before James died.
