Biography

Birth
Emily was born in 1846 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.[1] She was the daughter of Charles Adams and Mary Maunsell. She was baptised on 31st May 1846 at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough. [2] Her father stated on the register that he was a shoemaker.
Marriage
James Berry and Emily Adams were married at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 5th May 1873.[3] They were bachelor and spinster and both living in the parish. James was 24, a labourer and the son of Richard Berry who was a labourer. Emily was of full age, a gloveress and the daughter of Charles Adams who was a shoemaker. Neither could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were John Fletcher and Ann Berry.[4]

Death
Emily died in Hanborough, Oxfordshire in 1883 (in the same quarter as the birth of her last child Emily was registered).[9] She was buried at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 14th February 1883.[10]
