Biography

Peter was born about 1807. He passed away after 1880.

He was married to Nelly Hawkins and had four children:

  1. Cornelius (b.1822)
  2. Henrietta (b.1825)
  3. Cecilia (b.1829)
  4. Rutha (b.1832)
8 Feb 1839 - "Governor Johnson has bought Peter Nelly's husband from Henry Young, & He is preparing a brig for carrying them & almost the rest at S. Inigoes W.M. & S. Thomas's servants."[1]
4 May 1839 - "There remain in our farms only few old people, well provided for their life times. So old Isaac remained at W. Marsh; his daughter Nelly is gone with her husband Peter, whom Henry Young had sold for the purpose" [2]
15 Jun 1867 - list of destitutes receiving rations, Peter Adams, wife & 4 children[3]
