Historian and the first professional woman writer in the United States, publishing A Summary History of New England in 1799.
Hannah Adams was born October 2, 1755 in Medfield, Massachusetts. She was a daughter of Thomas Adams and Elizabeth Clark.
Hannah died December 15, 1831 in Brookline, Massachusetts, United States. She was buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
