Gordon Adam is Notable.

Gordon Adam was an Olympic athlete that competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

Gordon Belgum Adam, son of David Hay Adam and Rose Belgum, was born on 26 May 1915, in Seattle, Washington.^[1] George's father, David, was born in Scotland. In the 1920 census, the family was living in Seattle, and his father was the proprietor of a grocery.^[2]

In the 1930 census, George and his family were living in Whatcom County, and his father had a dairy.^[3]

Gordon attended the University of Washington in Seattle, majoring in engineering.^[4]

George was one of the 8-oar crew representing the USA at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. They won the gold medal, despite being assigned to the lane with the most wind and current.

George married Margaret Hubner on 8 September 1939, at Immanuel Lutheran in Seattle, Washington.^[5][6][7][8]

In the 1940 census, George was living in Seattle, and working for Boeing as a production planner.^[9] Gordon registered for the WWII draft on 16 October 1940 in Seattle, Washington.^[10]

In the 1950 census Gordon B Adam (age 34), Supervisor, was the head of household in King, Washington.^[11]

Gordon died on 27 March 1992, in Laguna Hills, California.^{[12][13][14][15]}
