Calvin Aborn was a native of Vermont born in 1795. He was a carpenter, machinist, or millwright, by trade. He died in Watertown, New York, in 1870, at the age of seventy-six years. He was formerly a Democrat, but in after life was a staunch Republican. He was reared a Scotch Quaker, and adhered to that faith during life.[1]
