BARBER.—On the 21st July, at her residence, Centre Dandenong-road, Cheltenham, Fanny, the beloved wife of George Barber, and loved mother of Mrs. E. Quirk, Brighton; Mrs. W. Churchus, St. Kilda: Mrs. J. Erridge, Port Melbourne; Mrs. E. Smith, South Melbourne; Mr. O. Barber, Cheltenham; and beloved grandmother of Ethel Barber, aged 72 years. A colonist of 52 years. Sweet rest.

Research Notes

George and Fanny's son Frederic was not included in the passenger list of the barque, Calphurnia. It's possible that he was one of the 3 male children that died on board during the trip.
