Phillip (21) married Mary Bateson (19) (born on June 11, 1786 in Wortley, Leeds, Yorkshire England; daughter of Matthew Bateson and Ann (Hepper) Bateson) on October 15, 1805 in Church of St Peters, Leeds, Yorkshire, England [2]
Phillip died on August 24, 1839 in Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land, Australia, aged 55. [3]
Phillip was apprenticed to John Bateson a clothier of Wortley Leeds. He went Bankrupt in 1811 and after that appears to have worked with his brother Henry in London as a clerk running the Stone Merchant's business at York Wharf Lambeth. His occupation at death is listed as Stone - cutter.
