Jimi Hendrix needs to be attached to the rest of our big family tree. He has a great bio, and a start on his family, who wants to help get him hooked up to the rest of us?

Jimi's grandmother Nora Hendrix lived to be 100. Wow!
I'm getting the distinct impression of "family tree fantasyland" in the stories about Jimi's background. The story of Bertran Philander Ross Hendricks' conception and his rich, white parentage is told on page 7 of the Shapiro, Glebbeek book as if it were true: (http://books.google.com/books?id=JB1W2dn31rwC&pg=PA7#v=onepage&q&f=false). There's also a very typical Indian Princess story in there, too, on page 6. I don't know whether any actual research went into these stories, but at this point I am doubtful that they're anything more than wishful thinking.
