There is a B Biblenko born Russia who relocated to Manitoba, Canada

There is a Thomas Bubles in Manitoba born there 1838

An Edward Babel born in Germany moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba

Some with the Bible surname lived in Canada but not specifically stated in Manitoba

Do you want more info on any of these?
Hi Frank: Thanks a bunch... I never thought about the different ways of spelling the

the Bible surname.

I know some of  our ancestors got rid of some of the last name ...ex. ski...at the

end. I know that Wilson Poole that married Peggy Wyness their daughter

married a fellow by the surname of Bible. If you have the time I would like

some more info on the Manitoba ones.....again...Thanks ..Marie

This book is a history of the regional municipality of Birtle, which Foxwarren is part of:

 http://manitobia.ca/resources/books/local_histories/101.pdf

I do not see any Bible families, but you may be interested in the book anyways...

Page 89 mentions a Fred and Tom Poole of Foxwarren as being the 3rd and 4th earliest capenters in town. I believe the Tom could be Edith's paternal grandfather.

pp 377-8 Has a Jack Poole and wife Mabel Gee with a daughter Edith (m. Proctor of Winnipeg) that appears to be no relation to your Poole's. I mention it only because it is worth noting there may be more than one Edith Poole in the records for that area.

Given that the Jack Poole of Solsgirth (p. 114, 377-8) and Fred and Tom Poole of Fowarren (p. 89) were all carpenters a possible familial connection may be worth investigating.

PP.445-6 Mentions information that may hold the most value to you from this book Edith's maternal grandparents, mother, and uncle: William "Jock" Wyness (b. June 1886, Aberdeenshire, Scotland)and wife Jessie Annie Cragg (b. Nottinghamshire, England; m.1924) who immigrated to Canada in 1925, and their two children Peggy (Mrs. Wilson Poole) and John William

p.181 The above William Wyness served on the board og the Lansburne School District and played the accordian (squeeze-box) for the school dances.

Archives of Manitoba has a probate from Brandon, for a William (Jock) Wyness, file no 19844 dated 1972, indexed here. http://www.gov.mb.ca/chc/archives/probate/1884-1984/brandonW.pdf

Also, Also:

Census 1921 Manitoba, Marquette District, Sub-District 32, Page 18, Line 16-21 gives Thomas and Lavinia Poole's children as: Alfred Thomas, Albert, Charles Samuel, and Wilson.

I browsed the above sub-district to see if any Bible families were nearby in 1921, only thing I found that remotely resembled Bible was a Trible family.
Hi Rob: Thanks for all the information. The info on the Wyness family is

most helpful. I was born in Birtle in the Catholic Hospital which burned down

with all birth records etc. I did know some of the family names in Foxwarren.

Thanks again for all the info and your time...Marie
