Hello WikiTreers!

Exciting news! We are changing directions with the WikiTree Challenge and returning to our roots. From now on we will be featuring a special genealogist guest star for each challenge. The goals are to research as much as possible in seven degrees in any direction from them and to see how much we can increase their CC7 score.

500px-WikiTree_Challenge_2024_Challenge_3.pngThank you for joining us for the WikiTree Challenge. For each challenge, we partner with special genealogist guest star. Together we research seven degrees of connections in any direction for them.

Challenge #3 is a going to be fun! We're partnering up again with our good friend, Meli Alexander AKA The DNAChef.

Our week begins Thursday, April 4th, at noon EDT (4pm UTC) and ended April 11th, at noon EDT. You don't need any particular skills to participate, so everyone is welcome to join us.

Please post any new connections to the global tree, questions or comments about profiles, or bounty claims with the relevant starting profile below. (Post as an answer. Comments at the top will be hidden or moved once read.)

Let's do this!

Countries we know will be involved so far: United States, Canada, Northern Ireland and the Russian Empire (especially Lithuania)

I would agree that there is no direct evidence that Isaac and Rachel emigrated to the United States. I detached Hyman from the parents.
Melanie, thanks so much for taking the time to check this out.  Have a great day!
Unfortunately, they are not the correct parents. I pulled his marriage license application and the parents' names are very different than what's on the marriage certificate (his wife's name are correct).

I’m not in the Hyman Levine fray but all the banter had me pull out all my immigration tricks.  I don’t know if this has been found already but here is Fannie’s naturalization application that states Hyman arrived in US in 1903 and was born in Viasin, Russia  all their children are listed as well

I added the above Source to Fannie’s profile.  Maybe it will be a lead to finding more on Hyman.   Should I put Mohilna as her Birth Location as Uncertain and same with Birth month?
Brenda great find!  I've added Fannie's birth name and location to her profile and added the information she gave for her husband Hyman to his profile.
Wonderful find Brenda! Thank you!
Thanks Melanie
Brenda thank you very much.
Thank you Dawn

I created a great uncle: Paul Brewer Campbell. He served in the Canadian Air Force. While serving as a pilot, Warrant Officer Paul Brewer Campbell and his crew were killed in England. He is buried in England.

I've connected her to the one tree by adding her father Jean Mathieu, whose father Charles Mathieu was already there.  I'll add siblings that I've already identified and sourced in my Ancestry tree.

Georgianna's mother's mother's side has been connected to another Acadian family Jean François Marie Gourdeau (1763-1827) | WikiTree FREE Family Tree

son Edward F Campbell was already on wikitree connected.

I added another son: (gr uncle to Meli) He was listed on Find-A-Grave I found, but not listed in WikiTree.

Paul Brewer Campbell. He served in the Canadian Air Force. While serving as a pilot, Warrant Officer Paul Brewer Campbell and his crew were killed in England. He is buried in England.

Added an English connection. Connected Matthew Albert Tweeddale (grandfather of Edward's wife) to his father Rev, William Tweedale already in the tree and born in Cumberland. Added England to the list of countries.

Meli's 3xgreat grandfather Daniel Tracey's sisters Amy Tracey-1093 and Annie Tracey-759 appear to represent the same person because it is clearly duplicated. So they need to merge.

Reviewing Rachel Belski (1858-) https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Belski-3

I am not sure the family listed in the 1910 census are Hyman Levine (abt.1883-abt.1963) family.

He was married in 1908 and the 1910 census on Rachel's profile shows a Hyman aged 15.

As for the 1900 census listed on Rachel's page, this might be his family, however, he is not listed, he would be 17.  Further sources will be needed to prove this family as Hyman's.

I am working on adding cousins from her great-uncle Julien Mathieu.

I have Finished adding the wife and eleven children of Julien Mathieu (1866-1951).   Several children have Connecticut, Maintenance categories added to add spouse/children profiles.   Julien's children are at 5-degrees from Meli so their spouses and children will be 6-degrees.

Working on those next.    RAISING the CC-7 on Meli!!!!
