Records for John Tate?

Attempting to locate records on the children of this John Tate. Succession? Bible Records? Census would have been prior to when the names are listed. Also trying to find what happened to him. Many of his children moved to Spanish West Florida with their mother Nancy. Records indicate he died in SC, others show him in Mississippi? Any ideas what happened?

Good question, I do not have this particular Tate listed in my tree on Ancestry.

Another point on this matter is the wife NANCY. QUESTION is, is her maiden name Nancy Easley? Records show she was born in Mississippi, but they married in VA. WE all know this did not happen that way. The Fact is that this John Tate (# 1051) had a grandson named John Tate, that did in fact marry a Nancy Easley from MS. Of that fact there are plenty of records, and some may have mixed up the two. Another known fact is that A Nancy Tate (Maiden name unknown) , that had children with this John Tate, did in fact travel with several of their children from SC to Spanish West Florida (now SE LA and SW MS. Nancy was listed in one LA census as "Widow Tate". She was also listed in property deeds in 1810 LA as Nancy Tate, and she had a case go to the US Supreme Court as Nancy Tate, however her maiden name was never mentioned. HELP!
