Biography
Harriett (Wrenn) Gilmore is a part of US Black heritage.
Harriett (Wrenn) Gilmore was a Texan.
Hattie Elizabeth was born in 1869 in Texas. She was the daughter of Burl Wrenn and Millie Riley.[1] In 1880 she was living with her parents and siblings in Currys Creek, Kendall County, Texas.[2]
Hattie married Collins Gilmore in Blanco County, Texas in 1888.[3] In 1900 they were living in Kendall County. They had not had any children.[4]
In 1920, Hattie (52) was living with her married sister, Catherine Yarber, and her family in New Braunfels in Comal County.[5] She would remain in her sister's household in 1930.[6]
Hattie passed away in 1931 in New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas. According to her death certificate she was buried in Simmon Creek Cemetery.
Hattie Gilmore signed her will (with her mark) on March 14, 1931. will was probated in 1932 in Comal County, Texas. She left everything to her sister, Catherine Yarbrough.[7]
