In the 1880 census, Haywood (age 28), Farm Laborer, was recorded as married in Brevard, Florida, United States, working as a live-in laborer in the home of a white family headed by George W. Schuyler. His wife, Emma, and his probable brother, Roman Williams (abt.1854-), were also in the home.[1]
