Susannah Watson was born November 26, 1769, in Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of William Watson and Susannah (Bullock) Watson.

• 1850 Census: Susannah Watson, age 80, lived in Bennington, Bennington, Vermont, with her daughter, Nancy, 56, and James Newell, 33, a teacher. Susannah and Nancy were born in Massachusetts; James in Vermont. Susannah had been a widow for 21 years. ^[2]
• 1860 Census: Susannah Watson, age 90, lived in Bennington, Bennington, Vermont, in the home of Louisa Doolittle, 35. Also in the home were JOhn Pity, 22; Nancy Watson, 67; and Sarah B. Watson, 32.
