Lettice Washburn of Dartmouth was a soldier during the Revolutionary War, serving as a Private in Capt. Thomas Kempton's company, Col. Timothy Danielson's regiment in 1775, and in Capt. Benjamin Dillingham's company in 1776, and as a Matross in Capt. Perez Cushing's company, Col. Crafts' Regiment in 1778, and as a Private in Capt. Henry Jenne's company in 1781 marching to Rhode Island.

and after her death in Feb 1781, he remarried to:
2.) Sarah Spooner, daughter of James and Susanna (Demaranville) Spooner,[6] of Dartmouth, on 24 Jan. 1782 in Dartmouth.[7]
