Sarah Wade daughter of George & Sarah Wade was born 28 May 1732 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut. She married Joseph Lord of Lyme 11 May 1749.^[2]

Sarah Wade Lord was born 25 May 1732 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut, and died 13 Feb 1802 (aged 69). She was buried in the Bill Hill Cemetery in Lyme. She was a widow and the stone pictured states she "died of the smallpox".

According to George Wade's profile he married three times:

1. Elizabeth Durant on 14 July 1708. Elizabeth died 11 Dec 1725;
2. Sarah Tucker on 13 April 1726. Sarah died 22 Sep 1726; and
3. Sarah, widow Dowey, on 31 Aug. 1727.

George Wade married Elizabeth 14 Jul 1708.

George Wade married Sarah Tucker 13 Apr 1726. Sarah Wade died 22 Sep 1726.

George Wade married the widow Sarah Dowley 31 Aug 1727.

On the other hand the only Mary the Lyme Town Records shows is:

"Mary Wade dau. of George Wade & Sarah Dowley - b. 2 Nov 1729"

But while only showing one, suggests there were two Sarah's:

"Sarah 2d Wade dau. of George Wade & Sarah Dowley - b. 28 May 1732" ^[6]

On the other, other hand the Lyme death records include:

"Mary Wade d. 10 Sep 1727 - Notes: "grouped with family of George & Elizabeth Wade - might be Mercy, b. 25 Jan 1710 (?)" " ^[7]
