I have tried, and so far have failed, to find any reliable sourcing that would even confirm this person's existence. As an exercise, I've included under Research Notes material from the most easily found internet genealogy sites, none of which contain any reliable documentation, but all testify to the widespread (and perhaps unfounded) belief in this person's existence. I have therefore marked this profile Unsourced and Uncertain Existence. That is not a conclusion, but rather a challenge --Skordas has indeed verified that TWO persons named Robert Wade came to Maryland, presumably from England. Can anything more be found for either of them?

After documenting the birth of John Wade, I have also disconnected him as a son of Robert. Links are provided in the biography in case additional research shows there was in fact a relationship.
