Biography

Evelyn Venable is Notable.

Evelyn was the daughter of Emerson Venable and Dolores Cameron. She studied at Walnut Hills High School where both her father and grandfather taught. After attending Vassar College and the University of Cincinnati, she became a stage actress, before signing her first film contract in 1932.

She met her husband, cinematographer Hal Mohr on the set of "David Harum", and he proposed to her after a week of their first meeting. She had a relatively short acting career, officially retiring in 1943, but making a handful of appearances afterwards. After acting, she became a Greek and Latin teacher at UCLA.

She passed away in 1993.^[1]
