Biography

Levi was born 26 Jul 1756. He was the son of Daniel and Bethia (Nichols) Tower.[1]

Drummer Levi Tower served with Suffolk County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Levi Tower is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A115308.

He was a Private and a Drummer in the companies of Captains Cushing and Beal, in the Suffolk County Militia. He was also Master (Captain) of the schooner Allen during the Penobscot Expedition.[2]

He married first Priscilla Nicholas on 20 Feb 1775.[1]

He married second Ruth Beal, widow of Zenas Stodder.7 May 1799.[1]

He married third Rebecca Lincoln, widow of Levi Lincoln.[1]

Two other children: SALLY TOWER, b. October 11, 1780, Cohasset , Mass.; m. DANIEL BATES and NICHOLS TOWER, b. July 02, 1787, Cohasset , Mass.; d. December 28, 1866.
