William and Emily emigrated to the United States, in 1880 they are living in Gold Hill, Storey County, Nevada with their daughter Celia and son William.

William passed away in 1890 and was buried in Gold Hill Cemetery in Storey County, Nevada, United States. ^{[3] [4]}
