Biography

Sidney was born in 1906. He passed away in 1987.[1]

WILLIAMS—TILLER.—The marriage of Hettie A., elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Williams, to Sid G., youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Tiller, both of Mallala, will be solemnised at the Mallala Methodist Church on Saturday, 5th September, 3 p.m. Reception at lecture hall.[2]

WEDDINGS Tiller —Williams Hettie A., eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Williams, of Mallala, and Syd. G. youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Tiller, also of Mallala, were married at the Methodist Church by the Rev. H. C. Hill. The bride entered the church, which was beautifully decorated by friends with her father, to the strains of the bridal march played by Mrs. Weatherill. she wore a gown of white morocain and lace fitting to the figure and merging into a train. The cowl neck was of lace. Long tight-fitting sleeves draped with lace to the elbow were edged with kilting. The tuile bridal veil (lent by Mrs. J. Osborn, of Adelaide) was worn with a halo and orange blossom. She also carried a sheaf of lilies, while stocks, hyacinths and camellias. The bridesmaid. Miss Jessie Williams (sister of bride) was frocked in apricot morocain and lace, and wore a halo and shoes to match. She also carried a bouquet of autumn-toned fresh flowers. Little Gwenneth Reid was flower girl, and John (both cousins of the bride) page boy. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Meryn Tiller, of Kooringa. During the signing of the register Miss H. Reid sang "Until". A wedding breakfast was served in the lecture hall, where about 50 relative were entertained. For travelling the bride chose a navy figured spring jacket and relieved with white new straw hat and shoes and carried a handbag to match. Their future home will be at Mallala.[3]
