Biography

Keisha is found in the 1850 census a the age of 17, so born about 1833. She is living with Reddick Thornton and Laney, who are assumed to be her parents, in Camden, Georgia and was born in Georgia.[1]

He married Kesiah Thornton about 1851, based on the birth of Samuel, who was born in 1852 and said to be her son. (More research needs to be done to make sure he is not the son of the 1st wife.)

In 1860 she and Littleton are living in New River, Florida with 4 children. She is shown as born 1835 in Georgia. [2]

In 1870 she is living with Littleton in Madison, Florida, and 5 children.[3]

Her last known child was born in 1872 and in January 1877 Littleton married this 3rd wife, so it is assumed she died between 1872 and 1877. (see husband's profile)

It is assumed that Kesiah Thornton Hurst was buried in the same centerey as Littleton, Beulah Baptish Church Cemtery, Madison County, Florida. There is a FindAGrave memorial for her there. [4] We do know that Littleton married Mary Hagan 3 January 1877, so it is assumed Kesia died before then.
