Biography

Boyd Arlando Thomas was born on November 13, 1882 in Texarkana, Miller, Arkansas, United States, son of William Posey Thomas (1856–1897) and Dorcas Amanda Williams (1850–1928).

In 1900, Boyd R (17) was a son, Farm Laborer, in the household of Amanda Thomas (44) in Township 8, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. [1]

In 1910, Boyd was living in household of Amanda Thomas (54) in Township 8, Bryan, Oklahoma, USA. [2]

Boyd (29) married Mamie Capshaw (20) (born on September 30, 1891 in Springville, St. Clair, Alabama, United States; daughter of Henry Preston Capshaw and Nancy Lavica Hooper) on December 17, 1911 in Bryan.[3] Their daughter was Hermione Elanora Thomas (1913–1982).

Boyd registered for the draft for World War I. [4]

Mr. Thomas was visiting his son, Carroll of the Crismon Ap'ts, when he suffered the fatal heart attack. Carrol Thomas is employed at the Phillips Plant. Mr. Thomas farmed at Durant, Okla. and was returned there for burial. He will be buried in the Highland Cemetery at Durant. Further arrangements are pending. Surviving Mr. Thomas are: his wife, Pollie Mae; two sons, Carroll of Texhoma; and Eldon of Borger, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Hermione Davis, Bokchito, Okla., one brother, two sisters and wo grandchildren.
