Description

This sticker is for use to highlight a patriot ancestor recognized by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR).

To add this sticker to a profile, place the string similar to the text in Code used: column of Examples table anywhere in the biography part of the profile. Usually you should put it next to the text describing a Sticker, but it should always be below the == Biography == heading and above the == Sources == heading.

Notes

The sticker's "sar-number" parameter was originally designed to accommodate only the numerals of the SAR Patriot's record number (e.g., 300490 instead of P-300490). The coding has now been adjusted to work even if you include "P-" (but it would be better if you added just the numerals).
If you need to find the record number, the SAR Patriot Search page is here.
A frequent mistake when using this sticker is to add the patriot's DAR number instead of the SAR number. If the person is recognized as a DAR Patriot Ancestor, please use the Society Ancestor sticker - see Template: Society Ancestor for coding that will tailor it for DAR.
For SAR members, you can use the Society Member sticker - see Template: Society Member for coding that will tailor it for NSSAR membership (and DAR also).
