During the American Revolution, he fought under Colonel Benjamin Simonds in the Berkshire County, Massachuesetts Militia. [1]He may have been one of about five hundred men known as the "Berkshire Boys". This regiment notably fought in the Battle of Bennington in the summer of 1777.
