Biography
Date of birth is Estimate only. Probably second oldest child, born between 1783 and 1797. Listed in Probate application & distribution, and no further records after 5 June 1816. In 1800 [August 4, 1800] Ephraim Stimson has 3 daughters under age 10 ... Mary [about 1790], Sally [about 1800], and Unknown Stimson? No older daughters listed in 1800 Census.
Cautionary Note: There are three profiles for Mary Stimson that maybe Conflated.
1. Mary Stinson (1790?) of this profile, daughter of Ephraim Stimson Jr.. Listed in Probate Record _ no further records. At the time of the 1850 Census Mary Stimson age would be aged 53 to 67.
2. Mary Cooper Stimson ([born]1801) daughter of Thomas Cooper, Widow of Walter Stimson, married Ebenezer Carver in 1828, as Mary Stimson. She is also the Aunt of his second wife, Mary [H.] Stimson (1829). Mary (Cooper) Carver is age 49 in the 1850 Census.
3. Mary [H] Stimson (1829) daughter of Ephraim Stimson III. Widow of Samuel Cooper, married Ebenezer Carver in 1866, and Mary H Stimson is the niece of Mary (Cooper) Stimson, Ebenezer Carver's first wife.

NOTED: No Guardianship papers were found for Mary Stimson, daughter of Ephraim Stimson Jr.
All of Ephraim Stimson's younger children have guardians approve by the Court.
5 July 1816 _ Possibly Mary Stimson was already age 21, shortly after this date, or she did not survive beyond "the year without summer"? Thus no guardian was appointed?

Four of Mary Stimson's Matthews uncles lived in Prospect, three of them were Ephraim Stimson's next door neighbors when he was married to their sister Hannah Matthews, who is probably Mary Stimson's mother. Some of them were appointed as Guardians to some of Ephraim Stimson's children, but no one for Mary?
Mary was born in 1790. She is the daughter of Ephraim Stimson.
