Frankfort July 1st 1791 this may Certify that the intention of marriage between Mr John Black and Miss Rebeckah Stimpson both of this town have been entered with me and published as the Law Directs and no objection has been offered Benjamin Shute Town clark

July 12th 1791 this day the above named John Black and Rebeckah Stimpson were married by Benjamin Shute justice of the peace

Noted: For the present I have changed place of marriage to Frankfort, as the source for the marriage is found in the town of Prospect Records. The Prospect records may have been kept in the part of Frankfort Plantation, that became Prospect in 1794. The true location for the 1791 marriage is Frankfort Plantation. What remained as the town of Frankfort seems to have very few records.

He was born 18 JAN 1792 in Prospect, Waldo, ME, and died 6 OCT 1857.
