- I871, Thomas appears on list of Freemen in Dahlonega (District #837) in Lumpkin County, Georgia who paid poll tax.
- 1880, Thomas appears with wife Rachel and children on the census for Dahlonega, (District #837) in Lumpkin County, Georgia. One grandchildMalachi Samuels lives with them. Also living in dwelling # 109 are the families of Martha Brown and Jerry SpeerJ. Jerry married Alice Samuels, possibly a daughter of Thomas and Rachel.
