Lavinia's last name at birth could have been Ramsen, Ramson or Remson.. Remsen was chosen because it is the most frequently used variation and hails from New York from whence came the loyalists.
Lavinia was born in 1841. She is the daughter of John Ramson and Lavinia Balcom. She married, first, Ezra Dunn, about 1860, with whom she had a daughter Jane Dunn, who married Manford Ring. [1]
Lavinia married Charles Bent in 1868.[2] She passed away in 1908. [3]
