Daniel Potter death was caused by a bolt of lightening striking the horse and cart he was driving, causing the cart to crash forcing Daniel to fall to the ground - A wheel from the Cart in turn also fell off the cart and proceeded to run over Daniel - Daniel then contracted Tetnus which was the cause of death ~ Noted on Grandson 'Clarence' Medical Records and recalled by his Grand Daughters; Phyllis & Marjorie Boyle[1]
POTTER.- On the 14th inst., at his residence, South Melbourne, Daniel Potter, eldest son of the late D. Potter, of Mount Gambier, aged 35 years.
