Mary was born in 1540. She passed away in 1608.
Notes on looking for sources ... Ralph's wife is shown in Lincolnshire Pedigrees as "... daughter of ... Potter".[1] No forename, father's name, or birthplace is given and as Potter is a common name it is difficult to find a baptism. She may have been born before the start of parish registers (1538) as her second son Richard entered Cambridge in 1575 and was probably born before 1560. If she had a title, this would almost always be shown in a pedigree. Middle names were not in use at this time so Mary Elizabeth may derive from two different people.
Mary's family life events are hundreds of miles apart. Her parents are said to be born in Buckinghamshire, her mother died there, her father died in Westmorland and her husband was was born and died in Nottinghamshire. Her birth may be in one of these counties. No evidence for birth or death in Yorkshire at the moment.
Mary is on nearly 1000 Ancestry trees with a death 1608 in Yorkshire as here, but the source attached there is for Mary daughter of Andrew Snowden of Bradford buried 7 August 1608.[2] This burial is for a child, as father's names were not given on the burials of married women, and her name at birth would be Snowden not Potter. Many Ancestry trees show her as born in Nottinghamshire, but no matching sources are attached.
