Hello Jessica! I cannot find Miechowice in Gostynin (present day or Congress Poland). Is it possible this is Miechowice in Grójec Powiat? It is not nearby Gostynin. I only ask because I know Gostynin had a large German ethnic background. Let me know so I can create a village. Thanks! Skye Poland, Project

I am not sure. I got the info from my Grandmother's cousin who has been doing a lot of research on this stuff. It's really hard for us to figure out ourselves as while these sites make us say that we were in Poland, I think we were in Prussia before it was disbanded. (from what I have seen with maps and such). I have found his tombstone here http://www.upstreamvistula.org/Cemeteries/Cemetery_Item.php?id=55&nr=27&order_nr=3&type=recent&n_searchstring=&i_searchstring=&sortselect=one so this might be able to help you in figuring this out. I also have not been updating this site as much as I should seeing as I been hyper focused on getting all the information at least in one place.

Do you have any documents that mention Miechowice (marriage record)? If you thought he was in Prussia first, there is a Miechowice in Silesia, which was formerly in Prussia (south western Poland.)

Not really. Again I don't know what records he used. He did fine maybe their house or a similar one in Deutsch, Wymysle Niemieckie, Mazowieckie, Poland so maybe thats where its supposed to be. Again, haven't touched this page in a while too. Not sure about it being his birthplace, but just where he lived with his wife probably.
